Neighborhood Revitalization

 

Home Preservation, as part of a larger Neighborhood Revitalization effort is another way that Habitat Oakland can support low-income homeowners in the community, so that they may maintain a safe, decent, and affordable place to live. Like other Habitat programs, the Home Preservation is designed to provide a hand up, not a hand out.

 

Volunteers will work with homeowners and Habitat’s construction staff perform yard clean-up including leaf removal (front and backyards), trash removal (dumpsters on site for residents to utilize), limited branch trimming, hedge trimming, lawn mowing, and edging. To date, over 200 homeowners have been served through this program.
