2019 Region K Volleyball Skills Competition at Eldorado

Event Description:

Join Special Olympics Illinois Region K as we host our 2019 Volleyball Skills Competition at the Eldorado High School on Thursday September 19th from 9:30am-12:30pm.  As always, Lunch, a Volunteer Shirt, and an overall uplifting experience will be provided for all our Volunteers.

Volleyball Skills provides meaningful competition for athletes with lower ability levels, athletes that do not have access to participate on a team and athletes with equipment or mobility  assistance devices that, for safety reasons, cannot participate in team play.

Three events comprise the Individual Skills Competition: Overhead Passing (Volleying), Serving, and Passing (Forearm Passing).  The athlete’s final score is determined by adding together the scores achieved in each of these three events.

25 Volunteers are needed for the event at each Skill Station, as Division Escorts, to help hand out awards, and to assist with Lunch.  Volunteers will be assigned roles when they arrive that morning.  Volunteer Training will take place from 9:30-9:45.
