2024 Healthy Hearing Summer Games (Stillwater)

Special Olympics Minnesota's Summer Games is being held on June 21-23 and we are looking for volunteers to help run Healthy Hearing screenings at the event! Volunteers who would like to stay all day should sign up for morning and afternoon shifts. 

 

Through Healthy Hearing, athletes receive free screenings in a fun, welcoming environment.  Healthy Hearing screenings include ear wax removal, swim molds, hearing aid maintenance and minor repairs. Our mission is to improve each athlete's health and fitness, leading to enhanced sports experiences and improved well-being. 

 

Volunteer Expectations….

• Volunteers must be a Licensed/Certified Audiologist, ENT Specialist, GP or MD or be a Audiology/Speech Language Pathology Student or ENT student for Clinical Shifts
• Golf cart shuttle drivers must be 18 years of age
• There is no smoking, alcohol consumption, or drug use by volunteers.
• Abusive behavior toward athletes, other volunteers or staff will not be tolerated.
• Please don't exchange personal information with any athlete.

• Cancellations
  
  • Please notify SOMN as soon as possible if you need to cancel your volunteer shift. 
• Wear
  
  • Comfortable clothing & shoes. 
  • Volunteer t-shirt (given when you check in),
• Parking/Transportation
  
  • Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your shift starts to check in. 
  • Parking is available on site. 
• Pack
  
  • Any meals or snacks needed
  • Lunch will be provided for volunteers who sign up for a full day shift. 
  • A water bottle.
