Learn to Ride - Adults: Inwood Hill Park (Manhattan)

Event Description:

Volunteer at this Learn to Ride - Adults class and help adults and mature teens learn how to ride a bike! This two hour class will cover how to balance, pedal, start, stop, and steer a bike, as well as adjust a helmet for proper fit. You will be assisting the instructor throughout the class.

If you have never volunteered with Bike New York's education program you will need to attend a training first. Please register for an Education Volunteer training via CERVIS.

This class will be held at Inwood Hill Park. Click here for a map of the exact location. The A train Dyckman St station is the nearest subway station. Go towards the river, to the west end of Dyckman St (near La Marina restaurant, where the ONLY nearby public bathrooms are - use it BEFORE you go to the container!). Then follow the path north past baseball fields to the walled-in skating rink. Look for the green shipping container.
