Backpack Program-Alabama 2

The mission of the Backpack Program is to meet the needs of chronically hungry children by providing them with nutritious and easy-to-prepare food to take home on weekends and school vacations when other resources are not available. Volunteers are needed to help put together these bags to get them ready for distribution.

Age Requirement: None. Adult supervision is required for minors under 16.

 

We value the health of our community. Please help us prevent the possible spread of contagious illnesses. As a precaution, we ask that you reschedule your shift under the following circumstances:

• If you are not feeling well, especially if you are exhibiting common signs of infection including respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breath difficulties.
• If you or someone close to you has traveled to areas impacted by COVID-19.
• If you or someone close to you has been asked to self-quarantine.
• All volunteers will continue to take their temperature and complete the Covid-19 Screening Form before entering the facility. 

COVID-19 Mask Policy

• Masks will now be optional for all staff/volunteers/guests that have been fully vaccinated for the Covid-19 virus.
• Masks will still be required, as has been the policy, for all staff/volunteers/guest that are unvaccinated until further notice.
• All non-staff visitors, contractors, partners, volunteers, etc. must present a vaccine card/passport or wear a mask while on-premises.
• Masks are still an option for vaccinated staff/volunteers/guests who choose to wear them. We will continue to make masks available for the foreseeable future.
