Poverello House is the first nonprofit in the country to successfully serve three restaurant-style meals a day, 365 days a year!

 

We are excited to announce our kitchen remodel has concluded. We are proud to display our renovated dining space and for our volunteers serve to a new capacity.

 

Café Volunteers will be expected to:

 

  • Serve guests on the buffet line
  • Maintain a friendly and welcoming environment
  • Regularly check-in with guests to see if they need anything
  • Providing attentive service to guests, like refilling drinks as needed and checking their needs during meals
  • Promptly addressing any issues and referring to management when necessary
  • Perform some cleaning duties, such as at the service station, around the kitchen and in the dining area
  • Assist in washing dishes when needed

DRESS CODE: pants/ jeans, t-shirt, closed-toes shoes

(NO leggings or crocs, or slippers). 

 

Slip-resistant shoes are recommended, but not required.

Meeting Location: Poverello House Café Poverello House: Check-in with security and then sign in at the volunteer office or kitchen kiosk. For Evening Volunteers: If the main gate is closed, then you can enter the property through the Courtyard gate and drive into the Resident parking lot.
