Join A Grateful Mind International in our fight against hunger! A Grateful Mind's, "Feeding Families Hope" Community Food Drop helps address our neighbors facing food insecurity - ensuring none of them suffer hunger in silence.
Volunteers can assist with a combination of tasks including: · distributing food · unloading food · sorting · client intake · greeting/parking attendants · setup/cleanup
Skills Necessary: · Polite and friendly · Able to work with groups · Follows instructions This event is open to all ages. Volunteers under the age of 15 must be accompanied/volunteer with a parent or guardian.
Prior to the start of the event, quick orientation will be held for new volunteers. At least one team lead will be on-site, working with volunteers to answer any additional questions or provide respectful guidance throughout the day.
The Community Food Drops are held rain and/or shine. Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Please try to wear some type of red sweater/t-shirt/sweatshirt. Outreach ID badges will be provided at the event.
