Student Water Innovation Summit at The Water Tower

This one day, STEAM-focused event geared toward high school students in North Georgia will empower students to enhance their career or higher education readiness and discover new career opportunities related to the water industry. The Student Summit features expert speakers presenting career opportunities in the water industry from high school degree to PhD, a career fair with water-related businesses and organizations, hands-on activities, all related to the water industry. 

 

We are seeking general chaperone volunteers to assist with set-up, coordinating bus/student arrival, directing students and teachers, lunch serving and monitoring, coordinating student/bus departure, and clean up. Over 150 students attended our two student summits, and we anticipate approximately the same number of participants this year. We are looking for volunteers to help with the following:

• 7am-10am: Set up, coordinating bus arrival, registration, info desk
• 10am-1pm: Lunch set up, lunch monitoring, trash removal, lunch clean up
• 1pm-3pm: Info desk, coordinating bus departure, event clean up

All Gwinnett County volunteers are required to agree and complete the WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE and CONSENT FOR BACKGROUND CHECK forms. Please complete and send both forms to the Project/Event Organizer via email or mail for approval before participation.

 

This volunteer opportunity is not eligible for court-ordered community service hours.
