Cooler/Freezer Support

Food Bank of Alaska works with partner agencies to keep them stocked up with essential food items so they can serve their clients.  We need extra support for stocking our freezer and cooler so we can best serve our partners.

 

We are currently staffing volunteers to help support our cooler operations.  This volunteer will have to work in the cooler and freezer to stock bins that our partners will shop through.

 

There are two shifts that occur each day, each shift lasting one hour.  Volunteers will need to take filled bins of food and place them in the cooler racks, and occasionally may need to fill a bin with food before stocking it.

 

This activity occurs in the cooler and/or freezer, so volunteers must be prepared to be in cold environments.  As such, please bring your winter coat and hat.  Volunteers are also required to wear close-toed, close-heeled shoes at all times in the warehouse.
