Description:
Lots of cardboard comes into our Distribution Center! Help us get the cardboard out to our recycling bins.
The Recycling Volunteer collects cardboard from throughout the Distribution Center, as well as assists in cardboard breakdown during the food sorting and packing shifts. This may include picking up cardboard that is discarded on the floor during a packing shift and breaking it down. This position will also utilize a pallet jack to push totes of cardboard and recycle to the dumpster, and unloading those totes into the recycle dumpster.
T-shirt and jeans are perfect for this work. Please bring sturdy work gloves if desired. Closed toed shoes are required. Volunteers must be able to stand for two hours, bend, lift 20 lbs, and operate a pallet jack.
This project is for volunteers ages 16 and up. This volunteer must be able to use a pallet jack or be able to learn to use a pallet jack. |
