Description:

Global Gatherings is a celebration of the various regions and cultures of the world that are represented here in Tulsa. The program will focus on a different region every Friday, May through July, and performers, story tellers and artists who represent that region will have the opportunity to share their cultural practices with guests who are in attendance.

 

Volunteers will be asked to assist with various tasks that might include prepping the space, facilitating hands-on activities, providing information to attendees, etc

 

Global Gatherings will feature the following regions and cultures: 


  • May 10: Southeast Asia
  • May 17: Australia & The Pacific Islands
  • May 24: Europe
  • May 31: Africa
  • June 7: South America
  • June 14: East Asia
  • June 21: North America
  • June 28: Central America
  • July 5: First Americans/Native Americans
  • July 12: South and Central Asia
  • July 19: Caribbean
  • July 26: West Asia

Attire:

Blue GP volunteer shirt

Black or khaki bottoms

Comfortable, closed-toe shoes

Volunteer name tag

 

Check-In Location:

Check in with Courtney (Education) at the ONEOK Boathouse. 

 

Parking:

Parking will be available on John Williams Way. During peak times (e.g. on event days or school holidays) please allow additional time for parking.
