Ask: Volunteers are needed to help distribute cat and dog food to families in at Ann Visger Elementary School as part of our Humane Communities initiative. Help keep families together!
*Volunteers in this position need to exhibit good communication and customer service skills as well as empathy for others.
Objective: Volunteers in this role will assist with passing out food and supplies to community members. This program operates on a drive-up model. Volunteers will assist with picking orders and loading them into recipients cars. Volunteers will be operating outdoors.
Responsibilities:
Role Requirements: Volunteers in this position must be able to stand/be on their feet for up to 3 hours. Volunteers must be willing to assist Michigan Humane in our mission through clear, open communication. This includes reading and following all posted signage to help us maintain the safety of others.
Reassessment: Michigan Humane may require a volunteer reassess/retrain for a role if any of the responsibilities listed above are not met, or if volunteers are reported as conducting themselves in a way that goes against the Michigan Humane mission. |
