Every night up to 350 guests spend the night at The Mustard Seed Shelter. And every morning those guests need a good meal to get their day started. Help our cooks with the most important meal of the day and make a difference in the lives of our guests!

Volunteers will work alongside our kitchen team to prepare and serve  breakfast for our guests. This is a very fast paced opportunity as the majority of our guests leave for the day. 

Breakfast Serve & Clean: Max. 3 people

6:00am - 8:00am
Volunteers will be instructed and supervised by kitchen staff members  preparing a variety of tasty and healthy dishes using a hands-on approach. Volunteers will also help tidy the kitchen before breakfast service begins. Our meals are served cafeteria style. Volunteers will help to plate the meals so that our guests can come up and take them.

Registration Requirements:

Volunteers must be at minimum 16 years of age, volunteers younger than 18 years of age must bring a signed and completed youth waiver when arriving on site for shift. Please find a copy here.
