Major weeding of the Pollinator Garden @ Thurston County Fairgrounds

March 14, 2024- Session 1: Long overdue weeding work within the beds and gravel walkways.(Darn shot weed!) Please remember to bring your own gloves and favorite garden tools, such as Hori Hori knife, kneeling pad, shovel, water to drink. Work requires a good back and kneeling for weeding. Shrubs need to be cut back. May dig out large crocosmia and divide. Cross your fingers for good weather!

 

new day! April 24, 2024 Session 2: 

Round 2: Add plants and spread mulch. And weeding of course. Will also be working with the Extension office garden, raking leaves and digging out some of the Shasta Daisies.

 

May 23, 2024 Session 3:

Round 3: More plants are coming and need to be planted, mulch spread, weeded, and general fun in the sun!

 

Please bring your favorite weeding tools, kneeling pad, bucket for weeds, 

 

LOCATION: 3054 Carpenter Rd SE, Lacey, WA 98503. You may park near the WSU Extension office and walk West toward the purple gate. Or drive the roads and park closer to the garden. You will find the Pollinator Garden right in front of the building used by the Olympia Beekeepers Association during the Thurston County Fair.
