2024 Summer Games - General Volunteer Roles

 

The 2024 State Summer Games will take place on Friday May 31st -June 2nd  at Eastern Kentucky University. Many volunteers are needed to ensure that the games are memorable event for all participants. There are many service opportunities outside of the competition venues.

 

Review the volunteer roles below and consider coming out to take part in the most highly anticipated Special Olympics Kentucky competitive event of the year! 

 

Age Eligibility for Volunteers:

 

Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. Those under 14 must be accompanied by an adult for the entirety of their service. Some volunteer roles have a specific age requirement. Review each description below for more details. 

 

Volunteer Roles: 

 

Friday Opportunities

 

Set-Up Crew - Assist with the initial set-up of the Games. Heavy lifting may be required. Volunteers in this role must be at least 14 years of age. 

Saturday Opportunities

Food Services Crew - Assist with the preparation and distribution of lunches to athletes and coaches.

 

Note: Volunteers may register to volunteer for multiple positions.

 

Volunteers are asked to remain in their role for the entire shift.
