The 2024 State Summer Games Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition will be held on Saturday, June 1st at Eastern Kentucky University in the Student Recreation Center.

Volunteers are needed to assist with facilitating the competition. Review the volunteer roles below and consider coming out to take part in the most highly anticipated Special Olympics Kentucky competitive event of the year!

Volunteer assignments will be determined at the time of check-in the day of the event. If you have a preference, please list the role in the registration note.

Age Eligibility for Volunteers:

Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. Those under 14 must be accompanied by an adult for the entirety of their service. Some volunteer roles have a specific age requirement. Review each description below for more details.

Those under the age of 8 years old will not be given a volunteer assignment but, are welcomed and encouraged to attend the event to serve as fans in the stands to cheer on athletes as long as they are accompanied by any adult.

Volunteer Roles:

Awards Personnel - Assist with the staging, awards preparations, and awards presentation process. No specific sport knowledge is required for serving in this role.

Judge Assistants - Serve as support to the judges. No specific sport knowledge is required for serving in this role.

Score Personnel - Assist with the tallying of scores and assigning awards. No specific sport knowledge is required for serving in this role.

Staging Personnel - Assist with getting athletes prepared for their events by placing them into their performance order, assisting the athletes during the competition and then escorting them to the scoring location.

Volunteers are asked to remain in their role for the entire shift.
