The 2024 Summer Games Opening Eyes Vision Screening will be held on Saturday, June 1st at Eastern Kentucky University.

 

Volunteers are needed to assist with providing vision screenings and discussing the importance of sunglasses and protective eye-wear. We hope you will consider coming out to take part in the most highly anticipated Special Olympics Kentucky competitive event of the year!

 

Age Eligibility for Volunteers:

 

Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. Those under 14 must be accompanied by an adult for the entirety of their service. Some volunteer roles have a specific age requirement. Review each description below for more details. 

 

Those under the age of 8 years old will not be given a volunteer assignment but, are welcomed and encouraged to attend the event to serve as fans in the stands to cheer on athletes as long as they are accompanied by any adult.

 

Volunteers are asked to remain in their role for the entire shift.
