2024 Summer Games - Softball Throw

 

The 2024 State Summer Games Knights of Columbus Softball Throw Competition will be held on Friday May 31st  and  Saturday, June 1st at Eastern Kentucky University.

 

Volunteers are needed to assist with the facilitation of competition. Review the volunteer roles below and consider coming out to take part in the most highly anticipated Special Olympics Kentucky competitive event of the year!

 

Age Eligibility for Volunteers:

 

Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. Those under 14 must be accompanied by an adult for the entirety of their service. Some volunteer roles have a specific age requirement. Review each description below for more details. 

 

Those under the age of 12 years old will not be given a volunteer assignment but, are welcomed and encouraged to attend the event to serve as fans in the stands to cheer on athletes as long as they are accompanied by any adult.

 

Volunteer Roles:

 

Awards Personnel - Assist with the staging of athletes, awards preparations, and awards presentation process.  

Throw Personnel - Volunteers will be assigned to a station and assist with the retrieving of balls, marking/measuring distances and the recording of throws.

 

Volunteers are asked to remain in their role for the entire shift.
