2024 Louisville Soccer Regional

 

The 2024 Louisville Soccer Regional will be held at Lou City/Racing Louisville Training Grounds on April 28th

Volunteers are needed to assist with providing a day of high quality competition for all Special Olympics Kentucky athletes. Review the volunteer roles below and select the best fit for you! 

 

Age Eligibility for Volunteers:

 

Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. Those under 14 must be accompanied by an adult for the entirety of their service. Some volunteer roles have a specific age requirement. Review each description below for more details. 

 

Those under the age of 8 years old will not be given a volunteer assignment but, are welcomed and encouraged to attend the event to serve as fans in the stands to cheer on athletes as long as they are accompanied by any adult.

 

Volunteer Roles:

 

Scorekeeper: Responsible for keeping the score on the scoreboard. No prior experience or sport knowledge is required. 

 

Announcer: Responsible for announcing starting line-ups, athletes entering and exiting the game, etc. Announcers need to be comfortable with speaking through a PA system. 

 

Center Referee: Prior experience as a referee and extensive knowledge of the sport is required for this role. Licensed Official is preferred.  

 

Assistant Referee: Prior experience as a referee and extensive knowledge of the sport is required for this role. Licensed Official is preferred.  

 

Traffic Assistance: Assist with providing parking guidance to all spectators as they arrive. 

 

Medical Coverage: Medical professionals are needed to assist our athletes in the event medical assistance is required. First Aid and CPR certifications are required.
