Opportunity Details

The majority of this work will focus on packing donated bread into boxes. Occasionally, there will be other items to sort and pack, however this shift is primarily focused on bread items.

Please note that the shift may end early depending on the amount of donated bread we have received.

T-shirts and jeans are perfect for this shift! Also, please keep in mind that volunteers must be able to stand for two and a half hours and lift 20 lbs.

This project is for volunteers ages 9 and up.

Important Safety Policies:

Volunteers ages 9-15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
All shoes must be closed toed with no open backs
Let us know if you have any food allergies
All shirts must have sleeves (No muscle shirts)
No overly loose pants are allowed
No headphones or Bluetooth devices are allowed in the volunteer areas or the warehouse
Please leave your valuables at home
Horse play is not allowed in the Distribution Center
Only designated Care and Share employees are allowed to ride or operate the forklift equipment
Personal food or drinks are allowed only in the breakroom
Dress in warm layers in the fall and winter months
