| Description:
UV's Summer Ventures Program is a full day summer program designed to prevent summer learning loss and make academic gains during the summers.
A few times during our program we will be offering special "book fair" or "prize days" for our students who have earned points by reading over the summer. They will be able to spend their points on prizes and new books!
Dates + Hours: Thurs, July 11th from 12:30pm - 4:00pm Thurs, July 25th from 12:30pm - 4:00pm Wed, Aug 8th from 8:30am - 1:30pm
Specific Responsibilities: * Work with students to choose prizes, be their shopping buddy! * Help students do they math and figure out how much they owe for their books/prizes
PLEASE NOTE: * Must be 18+ to volunteer with this opportunity * A Background Check & Child Safety Training are required for any opportunity that works with our participants * All Volunteers must participate in training before programming begins and will receive ongoing training throughout programming |
