Youth Homework Club & Reading Club (Time Slot)

Population Served:   Children, youth 

 

Position Description: Assist children of all ages with their homework! Help them complete their homework by answering questions and helping work through problems. Read to younger children, story time. 

 

Key Responsibilities: Help the children complete their work and facilitate any games or activities for your student or group. Read books to children, have story time. 

 

Time: minimum 1 day per week, but more frequently is welcome, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00-5:30 pm.

 

Position Requirements: 

Completed Catholic Charities Volunteer Application, Volunteer Orientation (1), review the Volunteer Handbook and return the Handbook Fillable Signature Page form (2), and complete a background check.

Position Works Well for: Individuals, adults,  teens (16+), students, educators, tutors

 

You will find free street parking nearby/behind/in front of the Kateri Park and Esperanza Court buildings.

 

Masks are required when in our building (will be supplied if needed). 

 

Please note our staff do their best to regulate COVID measures (social distancing and mask regulation) with the children to the best of their ability. At this time we are unable to ensure children are vaccinated, so please take this into consideration when applying.
