Russellville Veterans Pop-up Pantry

The Arkansas Foodbank needs volunteers to assist with the distribution of food products at the Disabled American Veterans Simpson/Turner Chapter 27 in Russellville, AR.

 

Volunteers registering for the weekday shift will assist in assembling and packing boxes to be distributed during the Saturday shift. Regardless of specified shift times, the event is scheduled to end when food runs out.

Volunteer Tasks:

• Setting up and breaking down the distribution area
• Unpacking and organizing food to be distributed
• Helping with the intake process
• Assisting recipients with taking food to their vehicles
• Directing traffic.
• There may be additional tasks assigned as needed.

 Age requirements: Volunteers must 16 years and older to volunteer for this event unless accompanied by an adult.

 

Lifting Requirements: There may be some heavy lifting up to 30 pounds.

 

Dress Attire: The activities for this event may be outside, with limited covering. Please wear cool, comfortable clothing and closed toed shoes.
