Opportunity Details | Friends and Family Volunteer Day - June 2024
Opportunity Name:
Friends and Family Volunteer Day - June 2024 |
|
Description:
Friends and Family Volunteer Day is a day that celebrates the power of families who work together to support their neighbors in need here on the Treasure Coast who may not know where their next meal is coming from.
The first Saturday of each month, families use this day to teach children valuable, real life lessons about compassion and caring as we work together to sort and pack food, sort items for our Teen Pantry, pack backpacks for children, pack senior and veterans boxes and bag pet food for those struggling with the issue of hunger.
Volunteering also can be a great way for kids and adults to develop skills, learn more about their community and make friends.
Children 8 years of age and older with adult supervision. Social distancing is encouraged, and facemasks are optional while volunteering for any TCFB event.
CLOSED TOE SHOES REQUIRED FOR THIS EVENT. NO FLIP FLOPS OR SANDALS PLEASE.
It doesn't take a lot of time to make a big difference! |
