Salvation Army Food Drive

Join us in partnering with the Texas BBQ Foundation as we host a Salvation Army canned food drive on Sat, April 27th.

 

During our food drive, we will be taking donations of 10 non-perishable food items per person and each individual will receive a BBQ sandwich in return.

 

Volunteers will assist in:

-Setting up tents and refreshment area

- Receiving and storing of all canned goods

-Loading The Salvation Army box truck with canned goods

-Passing out food and drinks

 

AGE:  Volunteers must be 18 years old to be unattended.  16 years old with adult supervision.   

SIGN IN:  Volunteers must sign in and out in the 'volunteer binder' as we must track volunteer hours. If you need to track your own volunteer hours, please do so.  We do not have the capacity to monitor individual hours, but we can provide TSA paperwork to track your own hours. 
PAPERWORK NEEDED:  If this is your first volunteer date in this calendar year, please sign/complete a waiver provided at the event. This waiver only has to be signed once per year.

PRECAUTIONS:  For the safety of the vulnerable population that we serve, if you are ill or a member of your household is ill, however mild, please do not volunteer until healed, or wear a mask.

 

Come in comfortable clothes and shoes!

Parking is available in front of our building and alongside the street.
