Information Booth 2024 Commencement

Information Booth volunteers are expected to answer questions related to Commencement and the campus. Many of our guests are unfamiliar with campus and need to find their way from buses and parking lots to commencement venues, receptions, dining facilities, etc. You may need to help some determine which ceremony is their graduate’s or radio for Mobility Cart for guests needing assistance. Your help is needed and appreciated and you’ll have fun meeting people from all over the world.

 

This assignment requires a working knowledge of the campus, the ability to provide directions, seek answers and stand throughout the duration of the shift (2 to 4 hours). You will have a binder in your booth which will contain answers to guests’ most frequently asked questions. Please download and read the Info Booth Volunteer Training document.  Each booth will have 2 volunteers. There are five (5) booths. All are outdoors with large umbrellas for sun and rain protection; however, dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
