Groceries2Go Volunteers will be contributing to our emergency food relief service. Volunteers will assist clients by appointment only with an emergency meal box, a range of fresh fruit, vegetables, dry foods, and/or dairy products to their vehicles.

 

Volunteer tasks may include, but are not limited to:

• Answering phone calls for new and existing clients.
• Sorting and bagging donated food products.
• Assisting with data entry.
• Assisting food delivery to client's vehicle.
• Assisting with inventory control and pantry replenishment.
• Engaging in practices that promote sanitation and safety in food handling.
• Engaging in practices that promote safety among volunteers, neighbors, and staff.

 

Age Requirement: 15 years or older

 

Shifts: Monday - Friday (7:30am-10:30am and10:30am-1:30pm)

 

CCFB Customer Service Policy: Provide excellent customer service to all CCFB customers including CCFB clients, staff, donors, logistics personnel, agency personnel, volunteers, board members, and the general public.

• Engage in the following tasks or behaviors that represent excellent customer service: timely responses, punctuality and attendance, treating others with respect, distributing quality product, being knowledgeable and providing accurate information, and using appropriate non‐verbal and verbal communication
• Represent and advocate for CCFB in the community

 

Dress Code: Due to safety concerns, all volunteers must wear closed-toed shoes (no sandals or flip flops). Please dress comfortably and respectfully as the temperature in our warehouse varies based on the season.

 

NO SHOW POLICY: Volunteers with more than 2 "no shows" within a one-week timeframe will be unregistered for all future events without notice. This will allow individuals on the waitlist and new participants to join us and ensure we can complete our planned projects.
