Welcome to New York Events to Support Asylum Seekers!

OVERVIEW

Educational Alliance is committed to supporting our newest New Yorkers by echoing our historic origins as a settlement house and addressing the holistic needs of any person requiring assistance. One of the ways we will be doing this is by hosting a series of events at Manny Cantor Center focused on the needs of these new community members. We've partnered with service providers specializing in supporting these households on their journey towards freedom and safety, along with our own Family Resource Center that has a variety of resources to support the whole family system. We invite you to join us in supporting the critical and urgent work through supporting our Welcome to New York Events! 

 

 

WHAT IS YOUR COMMITMENT?

• Help registration and check-in, translation, food distribution and other logistics in support of the event
• Create a friendly and supportive environment, while assisting attendees  on where to go (might require escorting them to different floors at MCC)
• Bilingual English/Spanish speakers required
