KANSAS CITY - MLK Day of Service

Event Description:

Make it a day ON--not a day off! Honor Dr. King’s legacy of service by coming to Harvesters to volunteer. Each two-hour shift includes one and a half hours of sorting and repackaging food products and a half an hour service learning activity. Volunteers must be eight years or older to participate; students 15 years old and younger need to be accompanied by an adult. Families are welcome but please remember to register each member who will be volunteering! Please contact Volunteer Services to schedule your corporate team, service club, scout troop, class, etc.

In additional to volunteering, our goal for this year's MLK Day of Service is to collect one ton of food to help feed hungry people in our community. To help meet this goal, please bring a suggested donation of $3 or 3 non-perishable food items volunteer.
