Water Watcher Training - Lake James

Event Description:

Whether this is your first workshop or a refresher course, join us for this one-day training hosted by the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation.

Water Watchers are trained volunteers who are the network of eyes, ears and voice of the Catawba River.

Led by our Riverkeeper, this training will include instruction on the latest techniques, procedures, legal aspects, and historical knowledge to properly monitor our river basin. There is also an in-the-field component.

Training is free and open to the public. All necessary materials will be provided. No previous knowledge is needed. Lunch will be provided.

This is a semi-outdoor event. We will have heaters and a roaring fire, but be prepared to bundle up. Please wear comfortable and warm clothing and closed-toed shoes that can get wet or dirty.

Funding generously provided by Camp Lake James Master Recreation Association, Inc.
