Background / Sex Offender Registry Check Policy for Key Volunteers

A Key Volunteer is defined as (1) any volunteer, who, through Habitat programming, has consistent and direct contact with vulnerable populations; or (2) repeat volunteers who consistently volunteer for more than 8 hours per month after 3 consistent months.

  • This policy does not apply to single time volunteers at this location, for example, those participating in a volunteer group.
  • If you are a new volunteer who starts on or after July 1, 2023, you will be subject to this policy if you meet the requirements of a key volunteer. If you qualify as a Key Volunteer and refuse the background / sex offender checks, you will not be able to continue to volunteer.
  • You can review the Criminal Background/Sex Offender Registry Check Policy here: https://www.cervistech.com/acts/file/systemfileopen.php?org_id=0364&file_id=8&t=3f55066038b84c8ca4c6e09a76bd7b81
