Central California Food Bank Event Listing & Registration
With volunteer cancellations due to COVID-19, Central California Food Bank is actively seeking volunteers to help in our distribution center and out in the community. Now, more than ever, it’s critical to get food out to the community. Central California Food Bank is an essential service and we are fully operational. We are working around the clock to strategize new and modified food distribution methods that adhere to social distancing best practices and ensure public safety.
Program Changes
It’s understandable that there are concerns about volunteering at this point. And individuals should consider their own health and well-being before deciding whether to volunteer.
To protect the health of our volunteers and staff, we made changes to our volunteer program, for example, reducing the number of volunteers at each shift and cutting non-essential projects. We will be focusing on packing meals and bagging produce for distribution to our community. We are asking all volunteers to keep reasonable distance from one another, requiring mandatory glove usage and facial coverings.
And most importantly, if any volunteer is actively ill or are not fever-free for the past 14 days, we are asking them to stay home.
