Service Project Details

Catholic Charities Immigration Legal Services (CCILS) is a non-profit legal organization serving Oregon and Southwest Washington. We recently learned that our Office of Violence Against Women (“OVW”) Rural Grant has not been renewed, leaving our Rural Program with no funding.

Since October 2005, CCILS’s Rural Program has served 3,673 rural survivors with consultations and legal representation in Violence Against Women Act, U Visa, and/or T Visa petitions. Our services are crucial for these survivors, providing them with the legal representation they need to keep their families together, stabilize their lives, and fully participate in their communities.

We urgently need volunteer attorneys, paralegals, and administrative personnel with prior experience in a law firm/nonprofit to help with noncitizen survivors' cases.
