KANSAS CITY - Stamp Out Hunger 2024 - Offsite Bag Folding

Harvesters and your local letter carriers need your help preparing for the largest one-day food drive event in the nation!

 

Stamp Out Hunger is The National Association of Letter Carriers' food drive, held on the second Saturday in May each year. This year it falls on May 11th. 

 

In order to make this food drive successful, we need volunteers to help us fold and prepare 700,000 grocery bags donated by Price Chopper for letter carriers to distribute along their routes!

 

As you are registering, please select a day that you would like to pick up your supplies.

 

Bag supplies pick up will be on the following days and times: 

• Pickup Days and Times:
  
  • Saturdays, March 23 - April 20 
    
    • 10:00AM-12:00PM
    • 1:00PM-3:00PM
  • Wednesdays, March 27 - April 24 
    
    • 10:00AM-12:00PM
    • 1:00PM-3:00PM 

By folding each and every bag, volunteers help increase the food donations from this drive by 35%. 

 

We reserve the bags by boxes. There are 1,000 bags in each box that will need to be prepared for this drive. Volunteers can earn 7 hours of service for every 1,000 bags folded correctly.

 

All boxes of folded bags must be received at Harvesters by Wednesday, May 1.
