Project Description:

Morikami Museum's volunteer program enables volunteers to aid in the museum’s daily operations. Volunteers can help weekly or during special events, such as festivals.

 

Minimum Age requirement  

Weekly:    17 years old

Festivals: 16 years old (accompanied by a parent or guardian at least 21 years old)

Weekly positions include:

Museum Greeters

Museum Store

Museum Docents

Office/Administration

Bonsai Preservation

Garden Raking

Summer Tour Plus *Seasonal; available to a limited number of students

 

Each position requires training that is dependent upon that area in which the volunteer is assigned to carry out their duties. Interviews and background checks are required for weekly volunteers.
