What we do: We provide health screenings and classes to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie counties.

Who we need: Are you an energetic and passionate volunteer with a  (preferred but not mandaatory) background in nutrition and/or gardening to serve as lead instructor for the "Green Thumb Club"? We are interested in a volunteer that is dedicated to positively impacting and enriching the lives of our special needs community members! **gardening background not required**

Garden Club: This 10-wk class focuses on planting, growing, harvesting and incorporating the fresh produce to create healthy meals for the intellectual and developmentally disabled using a hydroponic tower garden system. Seedlings planted in the past include dill, cilantro, parsley, lettuce, swiss chard, spinach and much more. 15 hours community service
