Description:

Volunteers working on this service project will report to the South Fork Watershed Manager, Ambar Torres Molinari. Projects and time frames will be determined by both parties on an individual basis based on the volunteers interests and comfort levels. Volunteers may assist with tasks specific to the South Fork River such as:

  • Working towards water quality sampling and processing
  • Finding and tracking sources of pollution
  • Working towards development related advocacy

Volunteers should be prepared for the following:

  • Ability to provide your own means of transportation
  • Access to a computer and internet
  • Willingness to learn proper protocols for water sampling processes
  • Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions
    • Note that we will never ask you to go out during heavy winds or thunderstorms or to get in the water after an inclement weather event.
