Project Description:

Seeking a Secretary of the Volunteer Leadership Committee!


The Volunteer Leadership Committee is a group of volunteers who help run and oversee the Volunteer Program for O.U.R.. They were closely with O.U.R. staff to complete O.U.R.'s mission, which is to rescue children from sex slavery.


This individual will take minutes and attendance on the Volunteer Leadership Committee meeting held once a week on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30pm MST (this is a meeting that is done online, so can be completed from home). They would upload resume, certificates and applications of volunteers, especially those interested in the Jump Team. They would also help answer the volunteer email and answer any questions that volunteers might have. All of these items can be completed from home.

Volunteer Reports to: Director of Outreach, Community Relations Managers


Summary: The Secretary for the Volunteer Leadership Committee works closely with the Director of Outreach and the Community Relations Managers to keep records and perform secretarial duties for the Volunteer Leadership Committee. This is a volunteer position (not a paid position).



  • Age 21 years and older. Maturity in handling the heavy topic of human trafficking.
  • Minimum volunteer commitment of one year. Unusual circumstances will be considered.
  • Pass a Background Check Investigation
  • Available Tuesday at 3:30MST-4:30MST
  • Social awareness and communication skills
  • Maintain a firm commitment to professional conduct, including confidentiality of information
  • Must present a professional appearance and a friendly manner
  • Must be dependable and punctual
  • Be courteous and personable
  • Be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented
  • Social awareness and communication skills
  • Able to provide a minimum of 5 volunteer hours per week
  • Computer skills are desired


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Take minutes, attendance and notes at the Volunteer Leadership Committee held on Tuesdays at 3:30pm MST
  • Take minutes, attendance and notes held at the Volunteer Team Leader meeting held the first Thursday of the month in the evening
  • Upload documents to volunteer profile, including resumes, certificates and applications
  • Record all service hours by logging them on CERVIS
