Share your love of our mission with others!!

Volunteers support community and volunteer outreach events. Educate students and community members about the resources Second Harvest has to offer. Volunteers will receive general training and be paired with staff or another volunteer to set-up and host a walk-up table. During training, volunteers will become well-versed to provide information about how to find food in our service area and how to donate time or funds to the mission of Second Harvest.

Qualifications:

Valid Driver's License
Interest in speaking with the public
Must be able to lift 15 lbs.
Willingness to use personal vehicle to drive to outreach event
Professional & respectful to community members, other volunteers and SHFB staff
Attend training and shadow 1 outreach event

Volunteers must be 16 years or older for this opportunity. If a volunteer is under 18 years, they must volunteer with a parent or guardian.

After signing up, volunteers will be contacted to schedule their training in October. If a volunteer is new to Second Harvest, pre-screening interview will be required.
