Okeeheelee Nature Center

Project Description:

Okeeheelee Nature Center works towards educating the public about the habitats and animals of south Florida, and encouraging people to make environmentally responsible decisions.  We use live educational animals, museum quality exhibits, and 100 acres of pine flatwood forests and wetlands to teach nature-based principles.  Volunteers can assist in a variety of areas such as caring for our captive animals, helping to lead programs, maintaining the grounds, greeting visitors, and various other duties necessary to run the center.  Whatever your skills are, we are sure to match you with a position that you’ll love!
