Carr P. Collins Victim Services Volunteer Opportunities

***Volunteers who would like to volunteer multiple times will need to have either a physical or digital copy of a Safe from Harm Training Certificate on-file along with the completion of a background check***

 

The Salvation Army of North Texas provides year-round services to support victims of domestic violence. Services include safe shelter, legal advocacy, therapy, and other critical programs to help clients restart their lives after seeking assistance. We ensure that anyone who comes through our doors has their basic needs met immediately.

We welcome individuals, groups, and companies to be part of our mission’s work. We prioritize the privacy and safety of our victims during their transition and request that volunteers respect their privacy and maintain confidentiality.
Some of the many ways to volunteer include:

-          Building or Purchasing Welcome Kits, see the QR Code for more information (individually or with you friends, family, or company)

-          Host a Blanket & Coat Drive (or engage your company in doing this)

-          Participate in support groups.

-          Participate in or lead life skill classes (cooking, money management, time management, etc.)

-          Assist with local outreach (at community events, speaking engagements, etc.)

-          Many more!
