Sunnyvale Shelter - Lead a Physical Activity

Description:

HomeFirst welcomes volunteers to lead a physical activity for wellness of body and mind. Activities could include: yoga, stretching, tai chi, Zumba, etc.


 




Volunteering Requirements: 




  • All volunteers must be fully vaccinated (i.e., initial dose + one booster) for COVID-19. Proof of vaccination must be on file before first shift. If you have a vaccination exemption, a negative test result can be shown upon arrival at the shelter. Tests must come from an accredited lab (i.e., no at-home tests) and must have been performed in the 72 hours prior to the volunteer event. 


  • Regular and on-going shelter volunteers (i.e., those who volunteer 8 or more hours per year) must have proof of a negative TB test on file. The test must have been completed within the last 2 years. 


  • Volunteers at Sunnyvale must be at least 13 years old. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult (i.e., 21+ years of age) chaperone. One adult can chaperone up to 5 minors. 


Upon arrival at the shelter, you will need to check in with security to sign in and take your temperature. 


 


Face coverings must always be worn while inside the shelter.
