Description:

Education Program Assistant for the Print Shop will work with the Curator of Education and program instructors on programming that takes place at the Loveland Museum’s Beet Education Center Print Shop.

 

Hours: intermittent Saturdays, 10-2, roughly 1-2x per month. Some special events on other days/evenings.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Engage with and assist the The Beet’s visiting artists
  • Helping clean, organize, and maintain the printmaking studio
  • Attend and help with special events and exhibitions
  • Oversee the safe use of the shop, materials, and equipment
  • Assist with workshops
  • Participant check in, registration, other light administrative duties
  • Maintain participant safety
  • Evaluate and discuss current programming with team for redesign

 

Desired Qualifications: The best volunteer is not always the person with the most printmaking experience! Print experience is helpful, but reliability, a flexible mind, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability/willingness to learn are paramount. Also, strong interpersonal skills, an interest in printmaking practices, and the ability to work well with others are essential.

 

Working Conditions/ Physical Demands: 

  • Ability to stand for several hours at a time
  • Requires bending, stooping, and crouching on a regular basis
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • Knowledge of basic customer service philosophies
