Marion County Flag Football, Unified Partners & Volunteers

Project Description:

Special Olympics Florida  is seeking volunteers to serve as coaches.

Special Olympics Florida Marion County has opportunities for sports volunteers and Unified Partners for Flag Football which will meet in Ocala on Saturday mornings from 8am-10am from September -November.

Coaches are the key to a successful sports experience for the Special Olympics athlete. As a coach, you teach sports skills and model good sportsmanship and character. You give Special Olympics athletes the most immediate awareness of their self-worth, ability, courage, and capacity to grow and improve both on the playing field and off. Coaches will be provided training and sports seasons run for 2-3 months.

Special Olympics Florida provides year-round sports training and athletic competitions in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. We rely on more than 38,000 volunteers throughout the state each year who serve as coaches, help with events, assist on committees and so much more.

Join us in helping athletes achieve their dreams, volunteer today!
