Riverbend Park


Project Description:

This site totals 743 acres of land which is managed as a natural area. Riverbend sits on the designated “ Wild and Scenic” Loxahatchee River with 10 miles of multi use trails, 6 miles of equestrian trails, 5 miles of water trails in the park and the Loxahatchee River. Loxahatchee River Battlefield is the site of two second Seminole war battles that occurred on park grounds.


Volunteers are needed for help with special events as well as environmental and historical program presentations for schools, private groups, and the general public.  Help is also needed for park caretaking to keep the park clean and safe. Trail maintenance and trash removal are regular duties of volunteers.



Minimum Age requirement: High school


These positions require working on foot and outdoors in varied Florida weather conditions, (Hot, wet, etc.). Public speaking skills are a plus. Plant maintenance may require use of hand tools such as shears, cutters, etc.


Volunteers will be provided with training for all duties they are assigned.


**This site doesn't provide court ordered volunteer hours.
