Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your desire to Get Behind the Shield by volunteering in one of our many programs. You will find two types of opportunities:

• Events - These are opportunities that you can select the day and time you'd like to volunteer, and secure your spot here online without needing to confirm your spot with our staff. You will be able to show up on the day and time specified to volunteer.
  
  
• Service Projects - These are ongoing events that allow for you to volunteer when it is convenient for you, inside the boundaries of the program itself. These will require discussion with our staff to set up your initial volunteer time and orientation, as needed. After the initial visit, you can set your schedule with the program staff.

Some programs do have certain requirements that need to be met, so if you don't have the ability to register for something, but can see the opportunity, please email Misty.Ratcliff@uss.salvationarmy.org  to out what you need to do to become eligible for a certain opportunity.
