East Fork State Fish Hatchery (https://www.in.gov/dnr/fish-and-wildlife/fishing/indiana-fish-stocking/east-fork-state-fish-hatchery/) is located in Daviess County near Washington, IN and is the biggest fish hatchery in the state of Indiana. Throughout the season the hatchery raises a total of 8 species-muskie, walleye, hybrid walleye, striped bass, hybrid striped bass, channel catfish, trout and fathead minnows which are used are forage for the muskie. At times, the hatchery will overwinter crappie and largemouth bass depending on the state’s needs. 

The State of Indiana is actively seeking volunteers who would want to be a part of everyday functioning ofthe hatchery. We offer opportunities to help throughout the year with species like muskie, walleye, catfish, etc.
