Join El Buen Samaritano as a digital literacy teacher!

We seek individuals who are eager to give back to their community by helping adults learn digital literacy in a welcoming and fun environment. Some experience with computers and/or technology and some basic Spanish is required.

Program dates and classes:

Semester BEGINS: June 4th, 2024
Semester ENDS: July 25th, 2024

Computer Basics (in-person):

10:30AM - 12:00PM (Tues. and Thurs.)

Computer Intermediate (virtual):

12:00PM - 1:30PM (Tues. and Thurs.)

Requirements:

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.
Volunteers must commit to volunteer for a minimum of one day a week for the entire Summer semester.
Some experience with computers and/or technology is required.
Some basic Spanish is required.
Attend our teacher training. (AM & PM sessions)

Our Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to schedule a volunteer onboarding.
During the onboarding, our Adult Education Coordinator will review the curriculum, provide you with training and more.

You will then be invited to attend a virtual DL Teacher Training on TBD via ZOOM where you will meet other teachers and get ready for the first day of class.
