We need volunteers to help organize a weekly walking group that will begin May 2024.
This walking group will take place at the Lansdowne Mall where yourself and a few other volunteers will walk with Alzheimer Society clients and some of their care partners.
What is Sole Mates? Sole Mates is a social walking group that will meet each week for leisurely indoor strolls. These walks will allow clients the opportunity to engage within the community, socialize with others, and to browse stores. After the walk, volunteers and clients will be welcomed to sit together and have a coffee and have some stimulating conversations with each other!
Benefits of Walking with Sole Mates
Who Can Participate? Individuals with cognitive change, and/or a diagnosis with dementia or other type dementia and their care partners
All participants must sign a waiver before attending
