Live Healthy Gwinnett Internship - Summer 2021
Project Description:
The Department of Community Services is now accepting fall internship applications for Live Healthy Gwinnett. This is an ideal unpaid internship opportunity for students pursuing an academic and on-the-job training experience. Selected candidates will experience first-hand knowledge about the roles that Live Healthy Gwinnett plays within County Government, the Gwinnett community, and partner initiatives. Through multiple collaborating tasks, the interns will gain leadership experience, communication skills, increase their problem-solving and decision-making abilities and expand their professional networking contacts.
The intern’s main work area and equipment will be housed at the Parks Operations Center in Lawrenceville. The intern supervisor will be the Live Healthy Gwinnett Coordinator. The intern will be educated on the background of Live Healthy Gwinnett, the ongoing programs, and services offered to Gwinnett residents, what goals have been made for the expansion of the initiative and how the intern can make a positive impact on county residents, community partners, local businesses, and employees of Gwinnett.
Ideal Candidate:
All Gwinnett County volunteers are required to agree and complete the waiver/release and consent forms before participating in any volunteer project or event. Please download, print, and fill out the required consent form. E-mail your completed waiver/release, consent form and DoCS Intern Application to the Event Organizer for approval.
This volunteer opportunity is not eligible for court-ordered community service hours. |
